Recently I was asked about different subliminal programs. I can’t tell you how many times someone has approached me with a story like this, “I have tried subliminals and they don’t work!” Now, I always dig down when this happens—what did you try, where did you get it, what were the messages, what did they use for technology, etc.
Background Sounds
I have also frequently heard remarks like, “When I use your programs, I can hear people talking but I can’t understand what they’re saying. It’s like they’re in a room next door and I can’t quite make out what’s being said.”
Additionally, on a few occasions I have been told that our programs have noises, like someone talking, and other companies’ music and nature track sound better because there is no extra noise in them.
Technology
So, let’s take all three of those remarks on, as though you just asked me about them. InnerTalk uses a patented and proprietary method that blends the voices speaking your affirmations into the background in something technically referred to as a dichotic method. That is, it delivers authoritarian messages such as “I am capable” to the right hemisphere, while delivering to the left a permissive message such as “It’s okay to be capable.” Why is that?
I have written many times in the popular media as well as refereed journal articles about how poorly the idea of audio subliminal stimulation is understood. It is not at all uncommon for so-called audio subliminal programs to be created by burying the affirmations. Now this makes for lovely music, perhaps, but it robs the message of sufficient stimulation power to excite a neuron. If no neurons fire, no message is perceived. It may as well be what someone is saying in another state from you.
Maximizing Efficacy
InnerTalk is an audio illusion built upon how our brains work and their hemispheric specialties. The affirmations are not buried beneath the primary carrier, e.g. music or nature. This ensures that efficient strength exists for the brain to respond to the stimuli. Further, we use male, female, and child voices in a round-robin fashion so that personal response resistance is minimized. For example, some people are more inclined to resist an authoritarian message from a man while others may be inclined to resist a female voice, etc.
The right hemisphere of the brain generally is accepting, and it is in this region that subconscious activity is more inclined to exist, while the left hemisphere is the critical hemisphere inclined to logic and reason. This dichotomy is not strictly true, but as a general model it works well. So, we tell the right hemisphere, “I am capable” while simultaneously instructing the left hemisphere that “It’s okay to be capable.” By so doing, that inner sentry that might argue against the affirmation is muted because what’s to argue about when it comes to “It’s okay to be capable.”
InnerTalk programs are therefore created using specialized (patented) equipment along with proprietary methods.
So now you know how we disguise the messages, and why you may hear speaking but not quite understand what’s being said. Also, if you catch a word here and there, it’s usually the word ‘okay.’
Affirmations
Many companies use second person statements, such as “You are capable.” That may sound all good and dandy until you think about how it is internalized. When you say to yourself, “You are good,” you’re no longer talking about yourself. No, you’re addressing someone else. Further, it’s not uncommon for me to see affirmations that, when untangled, produce the opposite effect desired. For example, a program designed to facilitate reducing cigarette consumption may have an affirmation like, “I find 10 cigarettes a day more than enough for me.” The process known as subconscious cerebration may well turn this statement into “I find more than 10 cigarettes a day enough for me.”
I also see programs with affirmations that may sound good, but they’re anything but complete. A freedom from depression program that tells you you’re not depressed just will not cut it. Affirmations are needed that assist in making that happen. We profile every program and include both behavioral and skill tips.
Independent Research
When it comes down to it, the proof is in the pudding. InnerTalk programs have been tested by independent researchers in leading institutions, and even by governments, and repeatedly found effective. This research utilizes rigorous scientific designs, including the double-blind study. That, and the results clients experience, is probably why so many health care professionals recommend our programs.
The bottom line is this, you really have not tried an effective audio subliminal program until you’ve used InnerTalk!
Thanks for the read and keep on reaching ever higher in becoming the best version of you!
